So I’m going to write a little piece about crystals, maybe about a different crystal each month.

Crystals are one of my favourite things to use (in treatments) as well just to have to look at, hold, be around..so writing about them should be fun!

There’s just so much to share with you but I’m going to keep it simple as I’m still learning too about these magical minerals.

There are hundreds and thousands of crystals, some of which are still been discovered. So starting a blog about crystals will help me to learn more about these incredibly beautiful ancient natural rocks that we have been around on Mother Earth since the dawn of time, much longer then me, you or our ancestors have ever being on this planet.

I just love a little stardust and everything surrounding us was born from it. So where to start?

Well I thought I’d start to write about crystals alphabetically, starting with Amethyst which I’m sure you will have seen, even if you didn’t know the name of these mysterious beauties.

Stardust

Amethyst is known for Protection, Transformation, Enlightenment, Sleep, Clarity.

Amethyst emphasis shades of violet, purple and lavender. It has a regal, radiant sparkle within its beautiful protective bubble of light.

A little bit of history…

In Greek Mythology the name Amethyst comes from an Ancient Greek Legend which involves lover boy Bacchus and a young maiden named Amethyst and too much wine. Ancient Greeks thought Amethyst would protect from becoming intoxicated, overindulgence and addiction.

Whilst Ancient Egyptians believed that Amethyst could protect them from being poisoned.

Over the years Amethyst is believed to protect against thieves and travellers.

Amethyst dates back to 3000 BC and was once a rare and expensive crystal, found mostly in Brazil and Uruguay. Now it is affordable easily accessible worldwide.

Amethyst is the birthstone for Aquarius and Pisces. It is the traditional and Ayurvedic birthstone for February. Egyptians thought this to be the zodiac sign of the goat.

If your into Reiki and or Yoga, you may have heard a little about chakras. Amethyst relates to the Crown Chakra and helps to open, balance and heal the crown chakra.

Known for heightening physic powers and connections to all things mystical and magical.

This crystal helps us to cleanse the body, mind and aura from negative or addictive patterns and behaviours. Helping to calm and relax nerves, reducing stress.

Amethyst is a magical, premier, spiritual stone blessing everyone and everything within its energy field. So it’s definitely one to have or start with if you’re considering getting into crystals in any way.

Keeping a piece of Amethyst in the bedroom helps to create a space of peace and tranquility. Or can be used underneath your pillow to aid sleep and ease nightmares and night terrors.

Its a beneficial crystal to have within the home either in the bedroom, kitchen, living/dining or a children’s room.

Amethyst also makes a gorgeous gift for a Birthday, Baby Shower, Get Well, New Home, Wedding or just because.

Share the love!

All you ever need to do, when it comes to crystals, is trust your intuition and have an open heart and mind, allowing the crystal to do its work. It’s as simple as that. Just trust and enjoy its mystical, magical powers. All is possible is just believe.

Magic

‘And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don’t believe in magic will never find it’.
